Bengal Tiger Waiting For Treat

Bengal Tiger

Bengal Tiger

It only seems fitting that as I relax into the poetic beauty of Life of Pi, I have this photo to share.

With a newly purchased Disney World pass, I visited Animal Kingdom for the first time. I was warned to be underwhelmed, but I found it beautiful, and all of vast views, details, animals, colors, and textures made for an absolute photography paradise. The day was insanely hot, so I rushed more than I would have liked, and even though I concentrated my time in the Asia/kingdom of Anandapur area, I almost missed the Maharajah Jungle Trek (nestled back behind Kali River Rapids). It was my favorite area, filled with views all sorts of interesting animals in themed ruins. I could go back and spend an entire day lost in there taking photos, and I plan on it.

This shot was pure chance. There were so many people (and stroller screamers, ugh) crammed into a little hut, hoping for a glimpse of the Bengal Tiger through a tiny window. Just as I peered over to take a shot, one of the cast members/trainers was throwing in a snack, and I snapped a photo. I am absolutely in love the shot.
