From the Orsay to the Louvre

The Musée d’Orsay is housed in the old Gare d’Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station from the early 1900s. I am absolutely fascinated with trains and train stations. This one does not disappoint. The museum is filled with incredible works of art, but the building is a work of art itself. It is a very, very busy museum, but I loved the quiet of this gallery. The window overlooks the Seine, musée du Louvre, and Jardin des Tuileries: four of my favorite places in Paris all rolled into one photograph. I even stayed in a beautiful, elegant hotel directly across from this window.
