I love to travel. I love to plot, plan, and research everything about a place to find out what interests me. I interview friends, make Pinterest boards, design elaborate Google maps with pins of all the potential places I’d like to see, and piece together rough itineraries. Usually, a panic follows when I realize that there is not enough time to see everything.
When I arrive and get my feet on the ground, I forget about most of my plans and lose myself exploring. My brain lights up with all of the new sights, experiences, and languages. I meet interesting people and hear their stories, try new foods, and take about 50,000 photographs. I tend to fall in love and then want to share what I have experienced.
And then I return home, snuggle with my kittens, watch some Netflix. Before long, the wanderlust creeps in, and it starts all over again.
