Welkom in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is a charmer of a city: fun, inviting, and so unique.
It is a visual stunning place full of beautiful architecture, sparkling canals, romantically lit bridges, quirky storefronts, interesting museums, and fun people. The Dutch are proud of their history and culture, intent on honoring and saving it, but they are also open minded and seem to continue to grow and expand as the times change.
The mornings in Amsterdam are magical. I wandered along the canals early on Sunday morning; the streets were empty, it was quiet, and the sun was just rising, which caused the light and the rugged lines of intricate architecture to reflect off of the still canal water in the most magical way. I am not sure that it will ever fully register as real to me.

I compiled a list of twenty of my favorite things in Amsterdam. These are a few of the things that really caught my eye as I wandered, attempting to get a full experience of the city. As always, I have many other items that I could have included, but these are the 20 things that I remember the most.
