Weedon Island Preserve

Blue Above and Below

Spent my beautiful, lovely, sunny Sunday at Weedon Island Preserve. The last few weeks, the weather has been perfect, and it has made me want to be outside constantly. Weedon is one of my favorite places; it is impossible to be in such a beautiful place and not find a truly amazing version of yourself to hang out with. The preserves around the Tampa Bay area are such a gift, a place where you can enter, forget concrete, deadlines, drama, and cell phones and let the vast blue skies, the deep green of the trees, and the soothing movement of the water take you to a different part of your brain. I love to walk through the mangrove trails; the trees in the mangrove move and croak in the water around you, making your senses crisp and ready. It is hard to take anything too seriously when looking at a view like this:
