Flash Fiction FI

Coffee & Flash Fiction at Oxford Exchange

Oxford Exchange is so dreamy.  It was built to be photographed and enjoyed. It is so interesting and thoughtfully designed. It isn’t hard to imagine characters from your favorite movies having pivotal scenes there – it is movie set cool.

I signed up for a Flash Fiction workshop with John Dufresne. It was a fun couple of hours, reminding me of my college days, sitting around discussing writing. We even got to work on a few exercises, which spurred some writing creativity in my brain. I really haven’t thought much about writing fiction since I left college, so it was really nice. We also got to hang out in those beautiful rooms upstairs in Oxford Exchange.

Before the class, I bought a lovely cappuccino and croissant at Buddy Brew Coffee. After the class, I wanted to grab some lunch, but the restaurant was booked up for hours (the food looked lovely though, so reservations for next time), so I shopped around a bit, and then got a macaroon and a fog (yum!) at TeBella Tea Company. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.
