Paul McCartney singing Blackbird

Macca, I’m Amazed

The Beatles were my first love. In middle school, I’d spend hours pouring over Beatles photography books. I was completely fascinated by their world, the fans, the clothes, and them.  I had always loved photographs, but it wasn’t until that time period that I learned just how powerful a photograph could be. It transported to me to moments that I could not be in and helped me to see and understand.

Seeing Paul McCartney in concert was a bucket list item for me, and it ended up wildly out amazing my incredibly high expectations. I wasn’t allowed to bring my good camera, so I only had my old point-and-shoot Olympus, which doesn’t do much for concert photos. Almost all of my photos are blurry messes, but this one of him singing Blackbird turned out kind of nice.  So, after all of those years of looking at other people’s photographs, I finally have one of my own.
