Paris: Day Four – Montmartre & Monet

Bonjour mes amis. So, day four in Paris, and I finally got my behind on the metro and visited Montmartre. It was beautiful and quaint (away from the tourist areas) and the sun was shimmering for some early morning photos. My favorite part was the Montmartre cemetery. So beautiful… and full of cats!

Today I hit a wall. My body and mind were exhausted. I blame all those steps in Montmartre, so I took a slow afternoon visit to the Musée de l’Orangerie. Monet really does heal all. Strolled back through the Tuileries Garden, mailed some postcards home, and then spent some real-time at the La Grande Epicerie de Paris (I wish I could bring it home!).

Tomorrow is my last full day in Paris before heading to Iceland, so early to bed so I can make it count.
