Right Side Drawing: Chair Exercise

The chair exercise has been my least favorite so far. I loved the idea of seeing and drawing the negative spaces, but I couldn’t figure out how to hold the plexiglass and draw on it at the same time. Plus, I had a hard time focusing on the chair in general through the picture plane.

Eventually, I gave up on the plexiglass picture plane and just tried to focus on the negative spaces. I may try this exercise again later to see if I get better results.
