Garden Strawberry Flower

Garden Strawberry Flower

One of the most exciting things about my new house is the big, sunny patio that has finally allowed me to start the garden the I’ve dreamed about for ages. I am growing romaine lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, red peppers, and a variety of herbs.

However, I am intensely focused on growing strawberries. I visited my Grandfather in California when I was very young, and he took me outside and let me pick fresh strawberries from his garden and eat them. They were delicious. The sun had warmed them, and it felt so homey. I imagine being able to do the same thing at my home, and this photo is of my first garden strawberry flower turning to fruit. It is my first hint that my dream is happening. It is a beautiful little flower, isn’t it?
