Secret Garden

Secret Garden - FI

Whenever I feel like I have lost my grounding, I find a garden. Central Park, Jardin des Tuileries, or Vondelpark. Gardens are commonplace worldwide, a celebration of the beauty of nature and the need for moments of respite. But, more likely, I wander into my home garden and revel in the magic of being near plants and flowers. A beautiful sense of calm and purpose overtakes me in nature. The fresh air makes it easier to breathe and appreciate life.

The garden is entertainment in itself, allowing a moment to bathe in sunshine, to people watch, and to quiet your mind. We enjoy leisure in the garden, surrounded by our favorite little nature workers, the birds, bees, and butterflies, chipping away at their duties. We listen to the birds singing while they work and amaze at the bees and butterflies so delicately landing on each flower to fill their bellies.

And so, I celebrate getting my hands dirty when pulling weeds, watering, and adding new plantings. I feel lucky to still be amazed at watching the plants grow and find beauty in each stage of their life.

White Flowers
Secret Garden - Flower - Henry David Thoreau Quote

And the secret garden bloomed and bloomed and every morning revealed new miracles...
